Planning

The following is an actual conversation of the twins, heard when I put the older one down after nursing him.

Teddy the Younger: Theo my Brother, where did you go? I was ALONE.

Theo the Elder: You were fine, my Brother. I checked to make sure of that before I left; you were deep in slumber. Besides, our Fair Mother looked like she wanted to do something productive. I had to intervene. But now my tummy is full and I am sleepy. It's your turn.

Teddy the Younger: No. Since you are with me again I am going back to sleep.

Theo the Elder: NO! That is not fair. Mommy! MOMMY! IT'S NOT FAIR! MOMMYMOMMYMOMMYMOMMY!!

Maximus, and the Missing Mousetrap

"Father!" Maximus came running into the throne room. "Father! Father!"

The Royal King and his advisors all looked up in alarm as Maximus slid to a stop in front of them--he had no shoes on and his stockings were perfect for sliding across the polished floor.

"Oh my Father," Maximus gasped. "You must come; quickly!"

"Maximus, compose yourself. Calmly tell me what has happened."

Thingus Maximus pulled himself up straight and took a deep breath before he spoke again. "Father, I have seen a mouse!"
